Who we are

Whim and attention to every detail, work and more work, always looking to do the best. This is Sebastian Coffee. A coffee that is special in name, origin and mainly, in the family, which has been dedicated to coffee since 1917, initially by the hands of the grandfather, and today, through the producers Rodrigo Safatle, his wife Lígia and his father, Marcelo, who share their joy in producing specialty coffees in São Sebastião do Paraíso – MG, from farms Faxina, Santa Ângela and São Paulo. A dedication that has been yielding recognition and awards in several contests.

House built in 1917, where Francisca de Paula Pádua and her husband, Clarindo, moved in.

The family’s first coffee plantations were established.

1950

Jose Benedito de Padua, 2nd generation, and his wife, Carmem, take over the operations at Fazenda Faxina. They have a daughter, Maria Ângela (3rd generation).

1985

Maria Ângela marries Marcelo, who takes over the operations and continues the family business, initiating the expansion of the areas. Rodrigo (4th generation) is born, shown in the photo with his grandparents.

1990

Marcelo begins coffee activities at Fazenda São Paulo and Santa Ângela.

2006

Rodrigo Safatle (4th generation) plants his first coffee crops, introducing new varieties and irrigation techniques.

2011

Lígia, Rodrigo’s wife, enters the coffee industry, taking charge of laboratory activities, roasting, packaging supervision, and logistics.

2023

Today, the third and fourth generations work in harmony with their team, and Sebastian Coffee gains admirers and customers in several Brazilian states and abroad.
